Privacy Policy

Dream Window is built on a simple promise: your dreams are yours. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data.

Dream Dispatch email updates

If you subscribe to Dream Dispatch, we store your email address and signup date on our own server to send infrequent news about Dream Window, such as new features and additions to the Atlas. A signup notification containing your address is also sent to our domain mailbox. We do not share the list for advertising.

The signup endpoint uses your IP address to create a hashed rate-limit marker to reduce repeated submissions. To leave the list or ask us to delete your address, email dreaming@dreamwindow.app.

Website visit counts

We count page visits, App Store link clicks, and successful email signups in daily totals on our server. These counters do not store email addresses, dream content, cookies, or visitor identifiers. They respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control preferences. These totals cannot follow an individual visitor through the site.

Your dreams stay under your control

When you record a dream, the audio and its transcription are processed on your device. Your dream recordings and text are stored on your device or in your private iCloud when sync is available. They are never uploaded to a Dream Window server.

Private iCloud sync

Dreams, recordings, Atlas sightings and some app settings can sync through Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services using your Apple account. This lets your journal appear on your other devices and return after reinstalling the app. Apple provides this private storage; Dream Window's developer cannot read or access its contents.

On-device intelligence

Dream Window uses Apple's on-device intelligence to reflect motifs from your dreams back to you. This processing happens on your device; the contents of your dreams are not sent to us or to third parties for this purpose.

What we do collect

• Purchases & subscriptions. If you buy Dream Window Pro, Apple handles payment and RevenueCat validates access. RevenueCat receives purchase and transaction history, an anonymous app user ID, and your device's Apple vendor identifier. We never receive your payment card details, and RevenueCat never receives your dream recordings, transcripts or titles from us.
• Anonymous usage analytics. We use TelemetryDeck to understand how the app is used — which screens people reach, whether transcription worked, and which archetypes get discovered. Signals are a fixed list of events with a random per-install support ID plus device model, operating-system version and app version. They never include your dream recordings, transcripts or titles.

The app does not require your name, email address, or an account. The optional website email list described above is separate. Nothing above is linked to your identity, and none of it is used to track you across other apps or websites.

What we never do

• We never sell your data.
• We never read, interpret, or share the contents of your dreams.
• We never use your dreams to train external models.

Notifications & alarms

If you use Dream Window's alarm feature, it schedules alarms through Apple's system frameworks on your device. Alarm settings are stored locally.

Your control

You can delete an individual dream at any time. When iCloud sync is active, that deletion syncs to your other devices. Erase All Data removes dreams, recordings and Atlas data from this device and, when synced, your other devices using the same iCloud account.

Uninstalling removes local copies but does not erase data already stored in your private iCloud; reinstalling the app may restore it. Erasing journal data does not cancel a Dream Window Pro purchase or remove transaction records kept by Apple and RevenueCat, and it does not retract anonymous analytics already received by TelemetryDeck.

Dream Window Pro includes PDF journal export and a data archive containing spreadsheet data, JSON and available recordings, so you can keep a copy outside the app.

Children

Dream Window is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
