How to record recurring dreams

Two dreams can share a place or a figure while feeling entirely different. Record each one on its own before deciding how it connects.

Capture this version first

Describe the scene before reopening older entries. Include what you did and how the scene ended, if you remember.

Choose a shared label

Use a simple name such as “the old house” or “running late.” A label helps you find entries again without deciding what they mean.

Compare concrete details

Look at setting, people, movement, and emotion. Ask what stayed the same and what surprised you. Avoid forcing the entries into one explanation.

Keep context separate

If a waking event feels connected, record that as a personal association. It is a question you can revisit, not proof of a universal meaning.
