Catch the dream before morning takes it.

DreamWindow is an iOS app for recording and collecting dreams. It wakes you up at the perfect moment to catch a dream while it's still fresh, then turns it into a collectible — a field guide to your subconscious.

How it works

A gentle alarm wakes you

Set a wake time and DreamWindow rouses you softly — timed to the light hours of morning, when dreams are still vivid and close to the surface rather than already slipping away.

Speak it while it's warm

Half-awake, still inside it, you say what you saw. That drowsy minute is the only window a dream is truly catchable — so recording lives one tap from the alarm, no typing, eyes barely open.

It becomes a symbol you keep

On-device, your words are transcribed and given a symbol in your growing atlas — a mark you'll recognize when the dream returns. Nothing leaves your phone. Nothing is interpreted for you.

Why keep dreams

A third of your life is invisible to you

You spend about two hours a night dreaming — a whole parallel life you live and then forget by breakfast. Keeping a dream is simply refusing to lose that time.

Recall is a trainable skill

Dream recall isn't fixed: write your dreams down and within weeks you remember more of them, in more detail. Each one you catch makes the next easier to catch.

Dreams are raw creative material

Writers, painters, and musicians have always mined dreams — not for hidden meanings, but for images waking thought never offers. Kept close, yours become a private well to draw from.

Patterns reveal themselves — to you

Save enough and the recurring shapes surface on their own: the rooms you return to, the figures that reappear. You start to read the weather of your own mind.

Dreams do quiet work

Sleep science links dreaming to how we process emotion and consolidate memory — real work your mind does while you rest. You don't have to decode it; witnessing it is reason enough.

The Dream Atlas

Every dream you keep becomes a living symbol, drawn in light and quietly in motion. Together they form an atlas of your own nights, one you can open and wander.
